Usar siempre and, but y because te deja en un nivel B1.

  • Ordenar: Firstly, To begin with, Secondly, Finally, Last but not least. En el C1, mejor algo menos mecánico: The most obvious advantage is…, A further point to consider is…
  • Ejemplos: For example, For instance, such as, A case in point is… (C1).
  • Aclarar: In other words, That is to say.
  • Concluir: To sum up, In conclusion, All things considered, On balance (C1).

Errores típicos de hispanohablantes

  • Despite of ✗ → despite o in spite of ✓ (nunca despite of).
  • Despite it was late ✗ → Although it was late o Despite the fact that it was late ✓.
  • Because the rain ✗ → because of the rain ✓.
  • However it was late, we went ✗ → However va al principio de una frase nueva y con coma: It was late. However, we went.
  • In the other hand ✗ → On the other hand ✓.

Por ejemplo nevertheless, nonetheless, that said, admittedly, consequently, hence, on balance o all things considered.
