ERRORES TÍPICOS · PREPOSICIONES

«Arrive to» o «arrive in / at»

Arrive va con in (ciudades y países) o at (sitios concretos), nunca con to.

  • ✗ We arrived to London at 8.✓ We arrived in London at 8.

Por qué nos pasa

En español decimos «llegar a», y «a» suele ser to, como en go to. Pero arrive no indica dirección sino el sitio donde ya estás, así que va con in o at.

Cómo se dice bien

Arrive in: ciudades y países
We arrived in London. / She arrived in Spain last week.
Arrive at: sitios concretos
We arrived at the airport / the hotel / the station.
Home: sin preposición
I arrived home late. (✗ arrived to home)
Get to: otra forma
What time did you get to London? (aquí sí va to)

Finn dice

Si quieres usar to, usa get: get to the station. Con arrive: in para ciudades y países, at para edificios y sitios.
