Example
Question: What does Anna say about her first year as a photographer?
A She found it hard to find clients. B She doubted her own ability. C She took too many jobs at once.
You hear: “Interviewer: Was it hard to get work at first? Anna: Surprisingly, no – friends kept recommending me. What I struggled with was believing I was good enough. Every time I sent photos to a client, I expected them to complain.”
Answer: B. Finding work was “surprisingly” easy (not A), and nothing is said about too many jobs. “Believing I was good enough” means she doubted her ability.
